Painted Storm Raven
I have completed the paint job on my Shadow Hawk Storm Raven. I am very excited to see this on the battlefield! It will be a few weeks as it will be on display at Games and Stuff for a little while along with some of my other Shadow Hawk models. Stop by and check it out if you are in Glen Burnie!
yeah have to agree that's how the model should look. I would sling the assault cannons under the fuselage like on the land speeder set back from the front of course. Ive been thinking about this and then also looking at the landing gear on the raven and making it so that it allows for such a mount.
I agree with the others above, really smoothes out the lines of the model and brings it closer to the Thunderhawk's look in character. I am apparently in the minority in that I actually quite like the 'stubby' look of the original, but really love what you have done here, especially with lowering the intake. Its also great to see somebody finally put the tail on the right way around! Like the look of the Heavy Bolters on the nose rather than Meltas; I think they suit the conversion better and give it more of an aggressive 'Air Superiority' look than just gunship/transport. Nice work, colours suit it well too.

Removing the top turret and lowering that intake changes the model so much, and for the better. Good stuff man.

ReplyDeleteGood call leaving the turret off. Cool paint job too!
