And the winner is...

Congratulations to all the entrants of the Stegadon Conversion Challenge. The winner is the great Nurgle Dragon submitted by the one of the talented guys from Santa Cruz Warhammer!

I'll have a full write up with additional pictures of the winning entries and some details on all the rest in the next day or so.

Congrats again and thanks to everyone who voted and checked out the entries!

Reinforcements!

Well, the Stegadon Challenge is going along great with over 150 votes so far. Thanks to everyone who is following it and participating.

I have been on a major Warmachine kick as of late and that has been my painting focus. I will return to the Orks soon, but with the Mark 2 Warmachine rules out, I have been bulking up the forces to try them out. We have some games scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday) night, so we'll see how the new rules play. Overall I like what I see (though some of my favorite units and models are quite different now). Anyway, I added a few new things to the Cygnar force (and there are even more done since I took these pics, I just need to get time to take more pictures). I also painted up Brun and Lug for my Trollbloods. Enjoy!

The Stegadon Conversion Challenge!

Well, it is here! The entries for the Stegadon Conversion Challenge. Between this site and Dave Taylor's (http://davetaylorminiatures.blogspot.com) we will be showcasing all the entries for the contest. The voting will take place here at the Forge and the winner will be announced in about 2 weeks. There are 3 entries posted here, and 3 entries on Dave's site. Please be sure to visit Dave Taylor Miniatures to see those great entries and then come back here to vote!

Entry 1: Squiggoth
The first entry is a fantastic Ork Squiggoth. Marching into battle atop this massive monster, the Orks are ready to unleash a devastating attack from the super Zzap Gun!

Entry 2: War Shrine
Marauders from the North know no bounds when it comes to the worship of their Dark Gods. This Stegadon has been captured and pressed into service as a Warshrine. When sufficiently angered it can also act as a Chaos Chariot.

Entry 3: Squiggoth
Not content with the configuration of the Stegadon, this converter switched the head and tail around and added some great bionic feet before dropping a cool Grot Rokkit howdah on the back!

There you have the first three entries. Be sure to head over to http://davetaylorminiatures.blogspot.com to see the other three entries. Then be sure to vote for your favorite! Also, comments on the entries are welcome and encouraged! We hope you enjoy the first conversion challenge and we are anxiously awaiting your vote! All winners and who the models belong to will be announced in a few weeks!

Updates are coming!

Hey guys,

Just a quick note to let everyone know that the updates are on the way! I just kicked off Spring Break today (and it will be wonderful not to have to deal with 9th graders for the next 10 days!) and I have lots in store over the break. First up, the pictures are starting to roll in for the Stegadon Conversion Challenge. I also have finished a bunch of reinforcements for my Cygnar army and a Minion Warcaster for the Trollbloods. Hopefully this weekend I will get everything photographed and up on the site.

The Conversion Challenge entries should be posted here and at http://davetaylorminiatures.blogspot.com over the coming week to week and a half.

Have a great weekend and look back early next week for lots of new stuff!
